Selling Your Home: Pets
There are already enough obstacles a seller faces when selling their home, having pets may become yet another hurdle you may have to overcome.
Odor is the largest indicator that a pet is or has been present in a home. There are a few simple things to combat the smell of your furry friend, either hire a professional cleaner to thoroughly clean the house or vacuuming your home more often will help reduce odor and pet hair. Also keep in mind, that while you may not be allergic to your pet, a buyer may, so keeping your home as clean and odor free as possible can alleviate the issue.
While your home is listed, consider removing or disguising as many pet items as possible such as crates, dishes, toys or a doggy door. If this is not a feasible option, at least consider removing your pets and their items while your home is being shown to a buyer.
