If you are considering selling your home as a short sale, it is best to determine if your hardship would even qualify for a short sale.

The following are hardships:

  • Job loss
  • Illness
  • Divorce
  • Death of spouse
  • Natural disasters

The following are not considered hardships:

  • Bad purchase decision or over-bought on the home
  • Unhappy with location
  • Purchased another home
  • Pregnancy
  • Walk away
